Ismael Saeed was appointed VP and Chief Technical Officer of Telecom Egypt in October 2025, bringing over 25 years of leadership experience in telecommunications, digital infrastructure, and technology innovation across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.

Before his appointment, he served as Vice President of Network Planning and Development at GBI, where he led large-scale technology and infrastructure programs spanning more than 45,000 km of submarine fiber networks, managed multinational teams in 11 countries, and drove the company’s digital transformation and data center expansion.

His earlier executive roles include Chief Information Officer and Founding Member of Klivvr, a leading Egyptian fintech company, where he built advanced digital payment and lending platforms, and Vice President of Operations and Managed Services at E-Serve, where he oversaw major national digital transformation projects in e-government and education.

At Telecom Egypt, he had previously served as Executive Vice President for Technology Affairs, leading the rollout of Egypt’s 4G network, managing over $400 million in technology investments, and developing Egypt’s first national cloud platform.

Saeed holds an MBA in Marketing from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport and a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Cairo University.
